Last Friday night at 10.30pm, my husband heard a high pitched 'Ik Ik' bird sound at the back of our house while washing a cup. The sound was loud. Later at 11.30pm, we both heard the sound was at the front of our house and it was loud and later low and loud again. This is the first time we heard such bird calling at night but is that a bird? An owl doesnt sound such way and it is a residential area. Honestly, I think majority of birds already sleeping soundly at that time and bats doesnt produce sound.
Yesterday morning 5.30am, my husband heard the 'Ik Ik' again at the front of our house but it was gone when it's near to dawn. The sound was low and later loud when it reaches dawn and it stopped. Again, what type of bird can stayed up so late till the next wee morning?
Before that Friday night, on early Thursday morning my Malay neighbour was reciting prayer at the front house. It was the first time of our 2 years stay that my neighbour do so.
We were thinking of something ugly like hmm 'pontianak' since there are story about it when the area was not fully occupied but right now, there are > 90% of residents. If this ugly thing really exist, please advise if there is anything we can protect ourself and our house? In fact, I have stop letting my small dog roam outside the garden after 8.00pm after the incident happened. I hate to say but I dont like it at all as I felt like something is interrupting the peace and harmony my little family is having especially restricting my dog's activities from the garden after 8.00pm.
